Cooperative Living in West Edmonton
Welcome to Ideal Housing Cooperative, a family-focused, member-run townhouse community nestled in the serene Wolf Willow area. Experience democratic, affordable, and sustainable neighborhood living.
Understanding Cooperative Housing
Housing co-ops are democratic, member-controlled communities where residents work together to run their housing, keep costs stable, and foster a supportive neighborhood environment.
Democratic Control
Every resident is a member of the co-op. We govern ourselves democratically: one member, one vote. We elect a Board of Directors and participate in committees to shape community rules.
Non-Profit & Affordable
We do not have a landlord. Rent (known as housing charges) goes directly towards building upkeep and mortgage payments, keeping living costs stable and affordable in the long term.
Shared Responsibility
Co-op living requires active participation. Members volunteer their time to manage committees (social, maintenance, gardening) which keeps costs low and builds strong neighbors.
The Ideal Coop Lifestyle
Situated in the quiet residential neighborhood of Wolf Willow NW, Ideal Coop offers a stable environment for families, individuals, and seniors. Our community operates with shared facilities and values cooperation and mutual respect.
